Starting season for Sheep/Goat collars

Step 1 Remove dust and
debris from the collar's battery slot
If you have not cleaned off the battery and the collar at the end of last season we recommend you doing so. It is important to make sure the contact points and pogo pins are clear and not obstructed by dust or sediment.

Step 2 Apply WD-40
to the battery poles
Simply apply a small amount of WD-40 on the contact points on the battery and collar.

Step 3 Charge batteries
Make sure you have a fully charged battery. If you have not charged it before storage it is important to do so before inserting it into the collar to start the season.

Step 4 Make sure solar panels
are not covered by anything
Make sure your solar panels are clean. Use water and a cloth or soft brush to clean it.

Step 5 Insert the battery
Insert the battery, There should be a start up sound to indicate the collar is receiving power.

Step 6 Check the App and update
We always recommend making sure the collar is reporting before taking the collar to pasture. We also recommend the collar is in area of good connectivity before loading the first pasture of the season.
